DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Sindh was hit by major floods in 2007. Most affected districts were Qambar Shahdadkot and Dadu where thousands lost their lives and many more were displaced.

Watan Foundation joined hands with BHP Billiton Pakistan to provide immediate relief to the displaced and affected people in District Qambar Shahdadkot.

With our team of doctors and volunteers, we collected & spent in excess of Rupees 2.3 million to provide 1150 food packages, 100 shelter tents and 20 medical camps with free medicines. We remained in the area for more than a month helping stranded families survive this catastrophe.

Our operations directly benefited more than 15,000 people in District Qambar Shahdadkot.
